Thank you for your interest in dog training at DeLuca’s Canine Country Club.

Our goal in training your dog is to make your pet an enjoyable family member, not a source of extra work and worry.  By giving your dog direction he will gain the respect you want and the control you need to have with your dog.

We offer:

1. 3-Day Program  (3 commands taught and work with jumping up and play biting)
2. 5-Day Program (Basic Obedience)
3. 12-Day Program (Basic &Advanced Obedience)
4. Puppy Temperament Testing
5. Soft Mouth Retrieval
6. Combinations of the above programs altered to your needs.

In our 5-day Board-and Train program the following work is covered:

Sit

Sit Stay (achieving 4 minutes with distractions)

Sit a the door until permitted to go through

Heel (walk at your side)

Auto Sit (to sit when the owner stops walking)

Not pulling on the leash when walking but not in a heel

Come, off-leash, indoors

Not jumping on people

Work with agility equipment (to build self-confidence)

Not to play bite

At DeLuca’s we do not treat train your pet.  We would much rather your dog respect you, not a treat.  A training collar is used for correction and praise and motivation are the dog’s the reward. 

On the last day of training when you pick up your dog, you and your family members, the dog and I spend 1 hr. together for a “go home” lesson. In this lesson I show you what the dog has learned, how to give the commands and corrections. You work with the dog and the dog soon realizes that you expect the same behavior that I did. After working with your dog for 3 or more days I am able to give you insight into the dog's personality and the best way to work with that. 

Once you take your dog home it takes consistent practice on your part to maintain the dog’s training.  By doing this and using his obedience in everyday life it soon becomes his way of life.

All of the covered material is guaranteed for the life of the dog, meaning that if you have any problems with those commands, I will continue to work on those problems, free of charge.
